- Choose a quotation from the readings from Thursday. The quotation
should be no more than 3 sentences. Choose a quotation that captures
a central, important, or interesting idea from the article.
- In your own words, explain the argument that is made in the quotation.
Your explanation should summarize the argument contained in the quotation
itself, and explain how the quotation supports or extends the overall
argument made in that reading. (1-2 paragraphs total).
- Bring the quotation and explanation to class on Thursday. A typed
submission is preferred, but handwritten is also acceptable. If you
are not in class, I will still expect to receive a copy of your quotation
by e-mail or in my box before class on Thursday.
